Team is fun and infuriating at times...

As I see it we still need a little more scoring....and at least one more GOOD defenseman. the question is will Botts try to speed up the process by bringing someone in, or are we going to wait for the kids in Rochester. that's the million dollar question.

Nice write up. All positive notes!

This season, with the help of a nine-goal eruption vs. Ottawa, the Sabres are 19th in the league averaging 3.06 g/gm. The last time the Sabres finished the season over three goals/game was in 2007-08 at 3.06 g/gm.

That's mostly attributed to the top play and the surprising volume of goals coming from the D men, as you said. Time to use some of Botterill's premium draft murrancy to bring in another scorer like Kovalchuk

The Atlantic is a dog fight, and we need some more scoring snarl

can't see him making any big moves yet, unless he gets an offer he can't refuse...this team is developing nicely despite some individuals struggling at times...and Rochester is on fire...

if it ain't broke...

skunk might be the key for right now...pominville's fade has already begun and if 23 can consistently play like he did late last season and against Vancouver finding a second-line/top-nine winger should be much easier and it might even come from Rochester later in the season

We need to send him and Peterman to the golf course.. permanently, though i'm not sure KB could make contact with the ball.

Yeah, I have to imagine they're pretty content for the time being. I would still like a Thompson for Nylander/Smith swap, but that seems incredibly unlikely

1.5m of cap space. It's not designed to be a year where they buy. Enjoy the progress, let the kids develop, more real moves after the season. Still some GMTM players to turnover.

Sabres 2 wins in come from behind fashion

Bills trounce the Jets

UB Football 9-1

UB Basketball 2-0 beats 13th ranked West Virginia in Morgantown

What a fun weekend of Buffalo sports

Sabres have a big test against Tampa tomorrow. A win at home would be a nice send off for the 3 game roadie (which is another tough test).

Did the Sabres re-sign Skinner yet?

And to think that game against Tampa at home might be the best chance for us to get a win this week. We play back to back in Winnipeg and Minny this weekend. Wild are 10-2 in their last twelve and Winnipeg is a cup contender. Only benefit of the Tampa game is that it’s at home but jeez that’s a tough stretch of games.

And then a trip to Pittsburgh...

If they can go 2-2 in that stretch I will say they are a real contender for the playoffs.

1-2-1 and they can be a playoff team

But if they end up winless it's going to hurt

Only problem is Tampa is going to be pissed they lost to the sens last game... but Honestly if we play good we can beat anyone...

Football post coming

Andrew Luck was hit and sacked a ton the last few years.

The Colts drafted OL and spent money in FA and he was only hit twice and hasn't been sacked in the last 2 weeks and Luck has been playing lights out.

Rebuild this OL

It helps the passing game, having a passing game opens things up for the running game.

It's not establish the run to open up the passing game anywhere (I hope you're reading this McDermott). Establishing a passing game opens up the running game!

Matt Barkley...played the best game all year from the QB position in a Bills jersey.

I don't know if Allen would have had the same success. Not saying he is a bust but he needs time. I would play Barkley against Jacksonville.

Good goaltending and balanced scoring.

Limit the penalties and figure out the PP

I think we are good this year...it's up from I think we can be good this year but I am not ready to say we are good just yet.

Totally agree about the OL. How many games did Dallas used to win simply by controlling the line of scrimmage with that great OL?

Don't agree about Barkley starting. The Jets are an awful team, like us. Beating them shouldn't get him the starting job, it should cost Peterman a job, but not Allen the starting role. If this was the start of the year, I'd agree, but at this point, I would like Allen playing every minute he can.
